Seminar of the series "Comparative art Studies" (5)

On Wednesday, December 28, at the Russian Institute for the History of Arts held another seminar of the series “Comparative art Studies”. The seminar principal leading – Igor Maciejewski, doctor habilitatus, Professor, Head of the Organology Department.

The workshop discussed the importance of the analysis of the relationship of different art forms when considering the phenomena of traditional culture. Interrelationship in Arts manifest differently in different national cultures in different stages of ethnogenesis and historical development. The interrelationship between music and literature, speech and presentation; music and choreography (wider – kinesics, the art of movement), music and theater, play and dance, etc are discussed. The past seminar used to be as an introduction into the discussing problems. Continuing the theme given angle – in the next seminar of the cycle “Comparative art history”, which are scheduled for 2017.
