Round table «Russian civilization in historical retrospect and perspective»
On Thursday, November 16, at 12.00 in Russian Institute for the History of Arts, within the framework of the VI-th St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, a round table «Russian civilization in historical retrospect and perspective» will be held. The event are organized jointly with the Institute of Cultural and Natural Heritage named after DS Likhachev.
The purpose of the round table have to be discuss the current issues and prospects for the existence of the Russian civilization, identify the main points of view in the humanitarian scientific community on the nature and meanings of the cultural and civilizational transformations of Russian civilization, highlight key ideological and semantic moments of this process, its stages, forces and factors, including the centenary of the 1917 revolutions, to identify the need for and essential facets of the spiritual and moral dimension, to identify value priorities and the exceptional importance of culture heritage, historical memory and traditions in modern sociocultural practices and the formation of national identity.
The meeting will be attended by V.V.Aristarkhov, the First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.

• Yury Alexandrovich Zakunov, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Inheritance Department of the Russian Scientific and Research Institute of Cultural and Natural Heritage.
• Dmitry Anatolyevich Shumilin, PhD, Deputy Research Director of the Russian Institute for the History of Arts for Research.
