Seminar on "Folklore, anthropology, ethnography," "Music transcriptions of Elias Lönnrot: modern decryption experience"

On Monday, January 30, at 15.00 in the White Hall of Russian Institute for the History of Arts, Department of Folklore and V.I.Moiseeva (Petrozavodsk) was present a seminar “Folklore, anthropology, ethnography,” “Music transcriptions of Elias Lönnrot: modern decryption experience”.

Elias Lönnrot first published manuscript “Book of songs for playing on kantele” will be presented (L. 95). A unique illustrative material will accompany the story of the transcripts tablature.

There are two types of tablature known in the manuscripts of Elias Lönnrot, wich are entirely related to the XIX century. Their nature will be discussed at the seminar.
