A.V.Chuvashov personal open lecture: «The paths and predestinations of Dmitry Bortniansky's secular music autographs»

On Wednesday, February 28, at 14.00 in the Green Hall of Russian Institute for the History of Arts will hold A.V.Chuvashov personal open lecture: «The paths and predestinations of Dmitry Bortniansky’s secular music autographs» (in the framework of the seminar “Issues and methods for the arts studying”).

Performance of Alexei Chuvashov, the opera singer, teacher, researcher of secular music will be devoted to the present location of Dmitry Bortniansky’s autographs. In 1827, the composer’s scores were given by his widow to the Imperial Court Singing Chapel. Nowadays, most of the manuscripts are lost, and what has survived is stored in various collections at St. Petersburg, Moscow and Paris. The lecture will trace the paths of movement of musical notations of the composer from the time of their creation to our days
