Scientific conference "Tsvetaeva and the Theater of the Twentieth Century"

On Monday, November 13, at 12 p.m. in the White Hall of Russian Institute for the History of Arts holds a scientific conference “Tsvetaeva and the Theater of the Twentieth Century ” dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of M.I.Tsvetaeva. The issues of the forum woul be a creative dialogue between poetic drama and director’s theater. The proposed perspective in the study of the poet’s work remains relevant, since even today, almost one hundred years after the birth of her dramatic cycles (Romantika and Tezey), the debates of the theatricality nature of Tsvetaeva’s plays and her viability as a playwright do not cease. The conference will present a canvas of the theatrical embodiment of her plays of both dramatic cycles of the poet on different stages of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
