Scientific Conference «Traditional Culture: Music, Dance, Theater, Rite» to the 50th anniversary of the Department of Folklore

On November 14–16, 2019, the Department of Folklore, Russian Institute for the History of Arts will hold a scientific conference «Traditional Culture: Music, Dance, Theater, Rite», timed to the 50th anniversary of the Department of Folklore, RIHA. We propose to discuss the following issues:
• complex research method: a contemporary view;
• involving of data and methods of related disciplines in scientific research;
• the correlation of individual and collective forms of research;
• the status of traditional culture nowadays;
• the historical formation of folk forms and their ethnic identity.

We invite ethnomusicologists, ethno-choreologists, ethno-theater scholars, philologists, ethnologists to participate. The time limit for the reports is 20 minutes.
