The second international scientific conference "Russian civilization in historical perspective and retrospective"
On November 15-16, the Second International Scientific Conference and the round table “Russian Civilization in Historical Perspective and Retrospective” will be held in the Green Hall of the Russian Institute for the History of Art under the auspices of the VII St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum. Beginning at 11 o’clock.
In 2017, at the VI International Cultural Forum in St. Petersburg, at the Russian Institute for the History of Arts, a round table was successfully held on the main issues of the development of Russian civilization and culture in historical retrospective and perspective. The growing number of scientific studies, publications and public events on this subject confirms its growing importance for all spheres of culture and art, education, science and youth policy. This year it is planned to expand the event by raising its status to the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Russian Civilization in Historical Perspective and Retrospective” and hold it under the auspices of the next, VII St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum.
The exceptional relevance of the issue, the expected participation of top leading Russian scholars in the field of philosophy, art history, cultural studies and civilization issues, as well as contemporary practitioners, well-known representatives of Russian Orthodox centers, scholars and cultural figures of the Russian diaspora, resonant media coverage will give a new positive impetus to intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding, to be a response to Russophobia and global destructive challenges.
