Session of the Council for Science under the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation
On November 17, the Russian Institute for the History of Arts hosted an expanded session of the Council for Science under the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The meeting summarized the results of the IV All-Russian Contest of Young Scientists in the Field of Arts and Culture and the awarding of the laureates of the contest. The speaker and the chairman of the jury of the contest was the A.P.Nikolaev-Chinarov the director of the S.A.Gerasimov All-Russian State Film Institute.
Vladimir Aristarkhov the First Deputy Minister of Culture has been analyzed in his report the activity of dissertational councils and priority directions of scientific research in institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Culture of Russia. The co-rapporteurs were: the rector of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture A.S.Turgayev, the director of the State Institute of Art Studies N.V.Sipovskaya, and Director of the Russian Institute for the History of Arts A.L.Kazin.
At the end of the session, a working meeting was held with the participation of heads of educational institutions of higher education and research institutions under the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation as well as the Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, S.Yu.Matveev. The issues of the discussion was the mechanisms of Ministry of Education and Science of Russia grant support for young scientists and scientific research conducted in universities and research institutes under the Ministry of Culture of Russia.
