The exhibition "From the collection of the Film Cabinet of the RIHA" to Anatoly Zagulin anniversary

On Monday, September 9, in the White Hall, Russian Institute for the History of Arts an exhibition “From the collection of the Film Cabinet of the RIHA”, dedicated to the anniversary of A.M.Zagulin, the film expert and bibliographer, was open. The exhibition will present materials from the archives of film historians B. S. Likhachev, E. M. Arnoldi, N. M. Jesuitov. These are posters and postcards of the 1910s, movie diaries, letters and documents of the 1920-1930s.

Another part of the exhibition is photographs of shots from the G. M. Kozintsev and L. Z. Trauberg early films; original photographs of the 1920-1930s from the archive of the photographer G. Agoronyan, including shots from the unsaved films of E. Yu. Ioganson, A. G. Ivanov, V. A. Braun, S. A. Gerasimov, E. V. Chervyakov with the participation of N.K. Simonov, Ya. B. Zheimo, S.Z. Magarill, G.S. Zhzhenova, A.A. Kostrichichkina, E.A. Kuzmina, P.S. Sobolevsky.

The third part of the exhibition is devoted to the history of the film and television department of the Russian Institute for the History of Arts from 1959 to the 1990s: photographs of employees of the film and television department and the Film Cabinet, authors and compilers of famous books on the history and theory of cinema; documents, working correspondence with directors; preparatory materials for the book by E. M. Arnoldi “Life and Tales of Walt Disney”.
