Scientific conference "Pax sonoris: musical and historical landscapes of culture", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of A.I.Klimovitsky

On Wednesday, September 27, from 11.00 to 18.00 in the Green Hall of Russian Institute for the History of Arts, there was be held the scientific and practical conference “Pax sonoris: musical and historical landscapes of culture” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the main scientist, doctor of art history, professor, Honored Artist of Arkady Iosifovich Klimovitsky.

Arkady Iosifovich Klimovitsky is an outstanding musicologist, professor of the St.Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, author of many scientific articles and number of monographs. The conference will cover the topics developed by the scientist throughout his life. Including as follows:

– The history of music as a unified historical process,

– Music in connection with other arts,

– Music and intercultural communication,

– St. Petersburg’ myth and its aspects,

– The history of musical theories and styles,

– Source study and archival finds.
