Roundtable discussions «Crimea. The sacral origin of Russian civilization».

On Wednesday, March 16 at 15.30 in the White Hall of Russian Institute for Art History, hold a roundtable discussions «Crimea. The sacral origin of Russian civilization». The event is dedicated to the anniversary of the accession the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol to the Russian Federation.

RIAH acting director, Professor A.L.Kazine act as a moderator of the roundtable.

 

Keynote reports:

Dr. N.S. Seregina, (principal research scientist, RIAH) – Christianization of Kievan Russia and the Pope St. Clement of Rome, the martyr.

Dr. O.B. Sokurova, (assoc.prof., St. Petersburg State University) – Bishop Luke (Voyno-Yasenetsky) – patron saint of Crimea

Dr. I.Y. Schaub,  (principal research scientist, Institute of Material Culture, Russian Academy of Science) – Crimea: on the personal impressions

Dr. G.V. Skotnikova, (prof. St. Petersburg State University) – St. Vladimir’s Cathedral in Chersonesos: a symbolic diversity of the figure.
