Exhibition for the 110th anniversary of the demise N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov (1844-1908)
Since June 15, 2018 in the Russian Institute for the History of Arts, second floor lobby, there will be an exposition timed to the 110th anniversary of the demise of Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov (1844-1908). The RIHA Manuscript Office stores a large number of materials and documents related to the work of the great composer, who have attracted and continue to attract the attention of researchers. The earthly path of Rimsky-Korsakov has passed within a long of 64 years.
The concept of this exposition has built on the desire to illustrate the stages of the composer’s life biography, relying on his personal documents (birth and baptism certificates, children’s letters and drawings, marriage certificate, service certificate, passport sheets with registration marks). Presented in the exhibition, the portraits have been reflected the stages of Rimsky-Korsakov’s life and give an idea of the family environment of the great composer.
